Bad Moon Rising - Bristol - 16/07/22 (Postponed from 11/04/20)

I am pleased to announce a new megagame design coming to Bristol on the 11th April. Bad Moon Rising is set in an alternative history 1970s, where the USA and the USSR are rapidly developing bases on the moon in a duel for supremacy. Can they handle the political, logistical, scientific and security challenges, all while trying to make sure that the Cold War doesn't go hot?

Bad Moon Rising is a game by Jim Wallman, designer of the famous 'Watch The Skies!', played all over the world, as well as numerous other megagames.

More information and sign ups can be found on the game's page.

Bad Moon Rising is loosely based on the real-life declassified Project Horizon files, originally produced in 1959 by the US Army about the practicalities of military moonbases. It will have quite a lot of juicy hard science technical detail as a result, though there will also be a healthy amount of science fiction as well.

The game will be held at Frenchay Village Hall (Beckspool Rd, Frenchay, Bristol BS16 1NU) on the 11th April 2020. The game will run all day from about 10am to about 5pm.
